Hello to everybody
with some delay we do us alive. All itís ok for the trip and for the formalities at customs. We did all the antenna set up, except 160m that we think to install this afternoon (today 2/2). Itís very hot here, about 40 degrees Celsius, and we don't have air conditioned, also in our bed rooms. During the night we suffers a lot because it refreshes, but just a little. The most serious problems is about power supply, removed for long periods. Theoretically the interruptions should be programmed, but instead the blackout are absolutely casual. Last night the electricity had to return around 9.00 PM, instead we have seen it at 06.00 AM, with only 160 volts and almost unable to work also at low power, due at the protections of our gears. At least, finally we had power from a generator that anyway has his troubles and itís unstable. Thatís a rather big generator around 30kw, but it consumes a lot of gasoline. I guess that power supply will be the most annoying problem. For the rest the place is nice with a lot of rooms for ours antennas. As soon as possible weíll post some pictures. The propagation for now it corresponds to our expectations, noisy low bands excluded the 160 meters that we have not tried yet. Weíll see more ahead with the RX antennas, so we check it out later on. Itís all for now, will follow further updatings. I forgot to tell you that we've eliminated a snake, we don't know if dangerous or not but now we hold full open eyes. Greetings to everybody from Alfeo I1HJT and all IDT Team
